Pinot Nero Oltrepò Pavese D.O.C.

Pinot Noir is a red grape variety originating from Burgundy, where it has likely been cultivated for over 2,000 years. It is part of a grape family that includes more than 1,000 varieties, among which the most well-known are Pinot Blanc and Pinot Grigio. Its name derives from “pine cone” referring to the shape of the cluster, elongated with the grapes very close to each other. When vinified as a white wine, it is used as a base for the finest Charmat and classic method sparkling wines.
