Primitivo Puglia IGT
After several debates, it has been established that Californian Zinfandel is the same grape variety as Primitivo, imported to the United States in the 19th century. It is assumed that Primitivo was indeed one of the first grape varieties to cross national borders, thanks to Italian immigrants who brought it with them as they sailed to the Americas.
